nag is an atelier operating at the crossroads of craft, design and architecture, directed by Niccolò Di Virgilio (architect) and curated by Gabriele Di Virgilio (designer and photographer). nag is based between Florence (Studio) and Monterchi (Atelier). nag seeks simplicity. We approach interiors as it does exteriors, large-scale projects as well as small ones – always on a 1:1 scale. nag pursues a tailored architecture, conceived to measure every time. Suspended between preservation and innovation, each project by nag is a rewriting of a pre-existing text. We always seek a context in which to materialise our ideas, enhancing the expertise of the artisans we collaborate with. nag works with construction and materials, attempting to prefigure what can only be intuited. We are a collaborative container, dealing with heterogeneous programmes and projects within an interdisciplinary framework. nag designs spaces for hospitality, residences, retail spaces, gardens and landscapes, as well as graphics and design. We build the minimal elements required to inhabit a space, starting from essential materials: wood, iron, fabric and stone.
