At Camping Europa in Cavallino–Treporti, Venice, a new sector blends mobile and permanent units through three central courtyards and a continuous veranda, creating cohesive spaces for guests and their dogs.
The Trecorti sector reorganises mobile units and integrates new houses of various types within a central area of the campsite. The mix of building typologies is resolved by a unifying device that structures the spaces and links to the mobile units. Three large central courtyards were defined: one framed by existing houses, two created with the new placements. A continuous veranda, like a broad portico, shapes the enclosed garden space. Its rhythm is given by paired pillars suspended above the ground through bracing embedded in the floor, supporting beams that close the roof. The structure uses laminated pine beams, burnt wooden cladding, and dark boards for parapets. Within the courtyards, organic-shaped enclosures with a dog house occupy the centre. Enclosures combine galvanised rods, welded mesh and irrigation tubing, on permeable solid soil. All other surfaces are covered with mulch produced on-site from prunings and removed poplars. Central plantings of ground cover and shrubs complete the garden, establishing a cohesive and naturalised landscape.
